ABOUT MY AIR PLANTS

Q:  I heard Air Plants provide a healthier indoor environment

A:  They sure do. Air Plants are not only exotic, colorful, easy to grow and inexpensive, but studies have shown that air plants clean the air, making them perfect for urban settings. Air Plants act as a natural filter by removing toxins from the air, making air plants the most healthiest plants to have in your apartment, home or office.


Q:  Will my Air Plants grow well in a colder climate up north?

A:  Absolutely, in northern climates you can put them on your patio or porch in the summer, but you need to move them indoors before the first frost. If you keep them indoors year-round, you need to make sure they are receiving enough indirect light by keeping them in the brightest place you can find, but not baking in direct sunlight on an eastern facing window sill.


Q:  What do I have to do once I receive my order?

A: To rejuvenate your new plants from the possible shock of traveling, they must be unpacked on the day of delivery and properly cared for following our Care & Instruction Sheet, which is included with your order.

Q:  How much care will my air plants require?

A:  Tillandsias, or Air Plants are one of the most forgiving and easy types of plants to care for. The watering requirements can vary based on environment, but the best option is to mist them generously once a week or just soak them for ½ hour in a container of water. If the plant starts to dry out, simply submerge it overnight to rehydrate it.


Q:  Where do your Air Plants come from?

A: While most exotic Air plants are indigenous to Mexico, Central and South America, many species are grow here in South Florida, as well as California. Air Plants range in size from a few inches to as large as 4 feet. The plants we specialize in are on the smaller side, which work very well in our Terrariums and Planters.


Q:  Your pictures show plants in various stages of flowering. What can I expect to receive?

A:  We will typically select younger plants that have not yet matured, or flowered. You may receive a plant that is in early bud if available, or in bloom, if requested. Remember, half the fun of air planting is watching your plant mature and go thru the incredible blooming sequence.


NOTE:
  Air Plants are living things, and nothing in nature is absolutely perfect. We will send you the very best specimens we have in stock, but please understand that there may be some imperfections. Damaged or older leaves can be easily trimmed with sharp scissors or carefully peeled off. This is a natural process and will in no way harm the plant, or affect it’s growth.

 

PAYMENT

Q:  What types of payment does Plantstr accept?

A:  Plantstr accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal.


Q:  Do you charge sales tax?

A:  Yes – if you live in Florida. 6.0% sales tax will be applied to all orders shipped to a Florida state address.

 

SHIPPING & HANDLING

Q:  How & where do you ship?

A:  We only ship orders within the lower 48 states of the United States.  We do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada or overseas.


Q:  How long will it take for my order to arrive?

A:  You can expect delivery within 5-8 business days.


We normally ship within 3-5 business days of receiving your completed order. It generally takes 2-3 business days for delivery once your order is received and packed.


Q:  What delivery service do you use?

A:  We are currently shipping via the U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail. They offer the lowest shipping rates with reliable tracking and delivery.


In some instances, we may choose other shipping methods due to the shipping weight or package size. We can ship to P.O. Boxes and domestic APO/FPO addresses. Other shipping arrangements will result in additional charges.


If you need rush shipping, please contact us at 305-951-0500 for a quote, or email us at: info@plantstr.net.  Orders shipped to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses cannot be expedited.

NOTE: We are NOT responsible for plant damage resulting in packages that are not immediately picked up. If the temperature is below 40°, you must make arrangements to bring your package inside immediately upon delivery. 

 

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Q:  What if I need to Return or Exchange my order?

A:  We certainly hope you’re happy with your selection, but you may return all, or part of your order within 30 days of receipt for a refund LESS shipping charges, which are NOT refundable.

If you would like to make an exchange, we suggest that you place a new order for the plants you would like before returning your original purchase. This will ensure that your new plants are in stock. Once we receive your return, we will process your refund for the cost of the returned order, less shipping and send you a notification email.

All returns must be in like new or as received condition, and sent back to us along with a copy of your receipt to the address below. Please allow 2 weeks from the time you mail your order for your return or exchange to be processed. We will email you with the new USPS Priority Mail Tracking number once your exchange order has been processed.

NOTE: Plants sent back for exchange must arrive back at our Miami, FL location in good condition.


Q:  What if my order was returned due to the wrong shipping address?

A:  We will not refund the purchase price or shipping charge for any packages where the customer has supplied an incorrect shipping address.

: We bear no liability for lost, stolen, or damaged packages during shipping.   Also, we are not responsible for packages delayed, or not received because of incorrect addresses, or for any other reason.
